Welcome to Marine Moms – Bethesda.

Our mission is to provide a monthly luncheon and comfort items to the Marines and Sailors wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and their families during their stay at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. We would like them to know that they are in the hearts and prayers of America.

We are not affiliated in any way with the USMC. We are volunteers who are Marine Moms or who have loved ones who are Marines, and what we do is made possible by donations. Every penny donated is used toward our mission.

Marine Moms-Bethesda Summer Quilt Raffle to

Benefit the Combat Wounded Veterans

And their families at

Bethesda Naval Hospital.

We’re very excited! One of our Elfs has donated a quilt for us to raffle off to raise money to support our

Bethesda luncheons!

Even more exciting is that with her help, and yours, we will be able to show our support to the troops and their families with luncheons we have scheduled each month for the remainder of 2009.

The drawing for "Baskets of Love" will be held at our August 13th luncheon.

ALL funds raised will support our luncheons at Bethesda Naval Hospital on the hospital ward and at Mercy Hall.

We serve all branches of the military, wounded or injured in combat, as well as their families staying with them during their recovery.

Why do we do this?

Because we care and because we can.

We are Marine Moms. When each of our sons became a Recruit, completed The Crucible, and received his hard-earned Eagle, Globe and Anchor, we didn’t know it at the time, but we became a part of the United States Marine Corps Family. Eventually we connected to others in the Marine Family who, like us, supported their loved ones when they became One of the Few and the Proud.

Marines Take Care of Their Own, and we are Marine Moms taking care of our Sons by another Mother.
