BAYSIDE QUILTERS OF THE EASTERN SHOREBayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore Plan a Second Quilt show in Oxford

Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore Guild has again chosen the historic, seaport town of Oxford, Maryland for the location of its second quilt show. The quilt show will be a three-day event running from Friday, May 31 (opening day of the show) through Sunday, June 2.

The show hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June1. The final show day is Sunday June 2 and the hours are from 11:00 Am to 3:00 PM. The quilt show will be held in both the Oxford Community Center and the St Paul’s Church located at 225 S. Morris St. on Oxford’s main street with street parking available.  Both locations are handicap accessible.

Bayside Quilters is a quilt guild with approximately 180 members who meet the second Wednesday of each month at the Easton Fire House in Easton, Maryland. The guild’s members are committed to the creation, study, and sharing of quilts as well as quilt making. Outreach programs are an important part of the guild’s activities.  Talbot Hospice, Marine Moms-Bethesda, 4H Hearts and Hands, Bear Hugs for Babies, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, just to name a few of the 22 organizations, that have received donated quilts, pillows, receiving blankets, and other items of comfort from the guild.

All of the quilts displayed at the show are ones that were made by members of the Bayside Quilters guild. Some of the quilts and quilted items will be for sale to the general public during the show.

Our featured speaker will be Gyleen Fitzgerald, a very popular teacher and author. Classes and lectures will be available.
Admission is $10.00, and tickets will be available at the front door of the Community Center and St Paul’s Church each day of the three-day show.

"Stars and Bars Forever", our annual quilt raffle and our only fundraiser!

Tremendous THANKS to everyone who participated in this year's quilt raffle.  The just over $900.00 raised directly support active duty combat Veterans and their families through our luncheons at Walter Reed and Richmond VAMC. The winning ticket belongs to Guy, from Maryland!

Guy, being the great troop supporter he is, has very generously gifted "Stars and Bars Forever!" back to Marine Moms-Bethesda to re-raffle!  Be watching for details!
