Gen. Patton was not a Marine but this quote captures military
sacrifices. ‘I don't measure a man's success by how high he
climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom.’
- Gen. George Patton
Just please thank them and send them warm thoughts and smiles
from home.

Dear Marines, It's Maria emailing from Germany. I'm honored to have
the opportunity for expressing y'all my very appreciation.
It's a good world we are living in, and it's Marines like
you who make it that way by the work y'all are doing! Without
Troops like you Germany too wouldn't be that free and safe
country that it is today. One shall never forget! Thank
you!

I am so proud of our military and the men and women who
make up our military. I wish I could reach out and touch
each one asking God to protect them and bring them all home
safely to us and to their families. I live a free and wonderful
life in the USA because our military has protected our freedoms
by defending us throughout the world. Thank God for each
and every one of them. I am so moved by their commitment
to defending freedom and our way of life.
God Bless the USA and our Troops.

It
Couldn’t Be Done
Somebody
said that it couldn’t be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would
be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grim
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done and he did it.
Somebody
scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it”;
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing he knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There
are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off you coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.
