Marine Moms-Bethesda Receives the DoD
“Seven Seals Award”.
The Maryland Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recently hosted the annual Eastern
Regional Awards Breakfast at Snappers Waterfront Café in Cambridge, Maryland. Ray Simmons, the regional chairman for ESGR honored
13 Eastern Shore employers with an “Above and Beyond” award and four community organizations with the prestigious “Seven Seals Award”
in recognition for their support. Brig. Gen. James A. Adkins, the adjutant general for Maryland was the guest speaker and co-presenter
of the awards.
"The Seven Seals Award is the only ESGR award that bridges both the employer and ESGR volunteer recognition awards
program. It was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide significant achievement, initiative or support that
promotes and supports the ESGR mission.”
It was an honor to accept the “Seven Seals Award” on behalf
of the Marine Moms-Bethesda Luncheon Crew and our "Elfs" across the USA who help us with our mission of serving the combat wounded,
injured, and ill Veterans and their families at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. We appreciate our country's military,
National Guard, and Reserves and are grateful for the opportunity to serve those who have sacrificed so much in defense of our
freedoms.
Thank you.
Choptank Marine Corps League Detachment #439 was also honored with the
“Seven Seals Award”.
